At any given night you can see major celebrities here to watch this magnificent show, Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri (when they were an item and she was an Atlanta resident), Kelly Price, Dondria, K.
Then the employees clear the dance floor for you to dance until the place closes. The production value is always great, the costumes are always beyond belief, and the music selection is great!!! The show starts about 11: 00pm and lasts for about an hour or two unless there is some type of event going on. That’s a great price for some of the finest entertainment in town. The Stars of the Century cast is Necole Luv Dupree, Archie Bonet, Stasha Sanchez, Raquel Lord, Damoni Hall Dickerson, Trinity Bonet, and Taejah Labelle Thomas, and the show director being Niesha Dupree. The MCs are Miss Sophia, Dominique Rashad, and Joe Jackson. It is out of this world!!! One of the best drag shows in the United States no lie!!! The cast is pretty much the same each night and they will have a special guest sometimes, usually a current titleholder in a recent pageant. I usually come here on Mondays for The Stars of the Century show. Other than that I had a great time thanks so much! I definiltey will be back! Ms Sophia: Prayers to you and your family as you lay your father to rest. Also, I wish ALL the performers would walk the crowd as they performed as well not just walk the center of the floor because I didn’t want to keep getting up from my seat to walk to the stage to tip the performers.
Although I did not eat the food smelled awesome, I did not like being served my mixed drink in a paper cup = perfer glass, which is my only gripe. As a first timer the lighting was good, I didn’t feel crowded, other patrons were friendly, I did not feel uncomfortable being a straight female, people were enjoying themselves and everyone was in their comfort zone and at peace, it was a happy atmosphere which was really nice to see people just enjoying themselves.

I came for the drag show because I have heard that the show was great so I was FULL of excitement! Mind you lololol I had to take a nap to stay awake before i went! Despite the fact that Ms Sophia’s father passed away over the weekend and will be burying him next weekend she was in good spirits and full of robust humor and kept me laughing from the beginning to the end of the show! The performances = some very talented individuals in Atlanta (love this city)! Enjoyed every performance and that my friends = is ENTERTAINMMENT! Some folk have a nack for it and Stars of the Century were a treat. Which is fine, it just wasn’t what I was looking for. JungleATL was pretty much an all gay club after midnight. Their DJ for the night, «Morabito,» should learn some new music moves… or at least play some freaking Beyonce, is that so hard? –It got less diverse as the night went on. But two hours later, the same beat was playing. Jungle’s sound system is really good, and when I first arrived, I was excited to hear a solid beat. This is the biggest «con» for me, since I went out mostly to dance. I don’t know if that’s typical of this club or not, but it was a definite «pro» for me. Luckily for me, there were a few groups of queer ladies. I’d heard mixed reviews about whether this was a «gay gay» club, or whether there were women. –More diverse crowd earlier in the evening.

Sure enough, Jungle has ample free parking. I chose Jungle in part because it was outside of midtown, which means parking is probably available and free. The floor is spacious, and there are lots of awesome lasers and strobe lights. I found Jungle ATL and decided to give it a try. I mostly wanted to dance, maybe pick up a chick or something. Check out the full list of events below.I was looking for a queer club out of the midtown area. Jungle has a slew of events coming up before its official last day on November 11th, including a couple of WUSSY productions. This is a big blow to the Atlanta gay community, specifically because Jungle has been one of the only 18+ gay venues with a proper stage, sound, and lighting for club events. In a statement made today on Facebook, owner Richard Cherskov announced, "Ive tried everything to convince our new building owners to renew our lease, but the fact remains that they feel our business is not compatible with the new apartments they are building next door. Following a trend of big LGBTQ+ clubs closing their doors all across the country, one of Atlanta's biggest nightlife spots have announced that they are about to close their doors.Īfter thirteen years of business, Jungle's last night will officially be on November 11th. Jungle, which has been the home to many legendary nightlife events like Stars of the Century and The Other Show, to name a few, does not have the option to renew the lease at their Cheshire Bridge location.
